You’ve gotten through the holiday festivities and only New Year’s Eve remains. This has to be one the busiest times of the year for hair salons. Hopefully, you made your appointment in advance and don’t need to beg a squeeze-in emergency slot.

Know that your stylist is working overtime to give you what you want. How can you help? Be on time. During peak times a stylist is trying to be everything for everyone. Stylists depend on word of mouth to keep new business coming through the door so they aren’t trying to turn down money. But, they have to have a schedule. If one person is late and the next appointment is scheduled for service it throws the whole game off.

Have a good idea of what you want before you sit down. NYE is probably not the best time for a hair consultation. Have a picture or be able to describe in vivid detail what you want your style to look like. A good stylist can work wonders, but they have to know what you want.

If you are looking for a style that takes several hours be prepared to sit. Mumbling about the slow service when Like the outcome. Make sure and let your stylist know and DO  leave a tip. Stylists work hard to create styles that make customers look and feel good about their outer appearance
