Two-strand twists can be formed by dividing the hair into 2 sections, then simply twisting each section of hair sections around the other. You can do this in a hand-over-hand movement and the hair looks like a rope that stays twisted. It may have some similarity to dreadlocks but it is not permanent; it can be removed anytime you wish unlike locks. However, it can be an excellent way to begin dreadlocks, if you decide to start them, as twists can be kept so they mat and locks are formed. Two strand twists can be done naturally and with synthetic hair.
