It’s not often that I come across a product that I find to be extremely #ShareWorthy. Not only does this product work and does exactly what it says it will, but it is very affordable and attainable for even the fairest of budgets.

How many times have you (speaking to the Naturalistas out there) attempted to coif your hair into the sleekest signature bun style or tame your edges for that perfect curly up do? I know I have made many attempts and tried many different products of many different textures to try and achieve my desired look.

After piling on product after product I realized that much of what I was using was just adding to product build up on my scalp.  Once you’ve applied too much product, in my experience it weighs the hair down and does not create an ideal canvas for styling.

A few weeks ago I discovered the Design Essentials Natural Line. One product in particular stood out to me. I asked a Design Essentials stylist if the product really worked and she assured me that I’d be pleased with the results. Needless to say I tried the Design Essentials Natural Honey & Shea Edge Tamer and was blown away by the level of control and shine it added to my hard to tame Natural Hair edges.

This 2.3 oz size jar priced under $13.00 contains Shea Butter that conditions the hair and active ingredients such as Henna and Flower Extracts to help secure the hair line of the sleekest of styles.

You can find this product at local Beauty Outlets that carry the Design Essentials line or participating online retailers at an affordable price. It’s also very concentrated so you don’t have to use a lot and it will last you for a while depending on usage.

Another good usage for the Edge Tamer, if you’re doing a Twist Out style or Rod Set type of style you can use edge tamer on the ends of your hair to mold and hold stubborn fly away strands. I recommend this product for any number of Natural Hair styling efforts because it works! If you know me, you know I only love to share the good stuff.

Until next time, have a great holiday and look nice and coiffed while doing so J!
