How to do Comb Coils

Making the decision to go natural is a tough one, and deciding to start dreadlocks can be down-right scary. For women or men that want the look of dreadlocks without the commitment, comb coils are a great style. This style can be done at home or in a salon.

The process for this style is simple, but takes time according to he thickness of your hair and the size of your coils. Once your hair has been washed and conditioned, divide a small portion of hair to be coiled, apply a small amount of alcohol-free hair gel, place the end of the comb at the base of your sectioned hair, and wrap hair around the comb tail. Once all of the hair strands are wrapped, pull comb straight out and you have your first coil! Repeat on other sections until your hair is complete!
