Let’s Get A Wig!
When making a choice between a synthetic and human hair wigs, it is important to consider all facets of your life and weigh a few options.
Synthetic hair wigs are usually made of toyokalon, or another manufactured hair fiber. These wigs cannot withstand heat applications or tools. Once washed in cold or lukewarm water, this hair should be shaken well, and allowed to air dry. Oil based products and sprays should be avoided when wearing synthetic hair, as it can look greasy or gooey. Wet-styling this hair should also be avoided. Dyes are not recommended, as they can actually melt the hair and/or make it completely unmanageable.
Human hair wigs however are more versatile. These wigs all contain
human hair fibers; however they can range in quality from Yaki Perm to Remy hair. These wigs can withstand all heat applications, or even be worn wet if the hair has a natural wave pattern. Human hair’s ability to withstand heat opens up a wide variety of styling options and methods. When speaking of blending half-wigs in with your natural hair, human hair works exceptionally well once you have found the right texture for your hair type.
Overall, if you are a woman on the go, or a Quick-Fix Diva looking for a fast, stable hairstyle with little to no maintenance, synthetic wigs may be for you.
If you are the Glam-Diva who appreciates the luxurious feel of high-quality hair, human hair is for you. Wash it, Dry it, Flat-Iron it, Curl It, Crimp It. The choice is yours!! You can even have 2 or more styles in one day!
No matter what kind of diva you are, both human and synthetic hair wigs come in a plethora of colors and styles. Find your Inner Diva and wear it well!
